The Club Deportivo Estudiantil CNI was founded on July 30, 1996.by a group of professors of the National College of Iquitos with the intention on promoting football in Iquitos at a youth level but has grown to be a youth and senior club.

In 2016 Copa Perú, the club qualified to the National Stage, but was eliminated by Venus in the Repechage.

[1] In 2017 Copa Perú, the club qualified to the National Stage, but was eliminated when it finished in 3rd place.

[2] In 2018 Copa Perú, the club qualified to the National Stage, but was eliminated when it finished in 27th place.

[3] In 2019 Copa Perú, the club was eliminated in the District Stage when it finished in 3rd place.
