Ratu Etuate Tavai (1958 -1999)[1] served as Attorney General of Fiji from 1996 to 1999.
He was called to eternal rest on 11 October 1999 at the relative young age of 41.
He pursued his tertiary studies at the University of the South Pacific, Laucala Campus.
He began his legal career as a prosecutor at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution.
During his time as Attorney-General, he achieved a number of milestones: - He facilitated the enactment of the 1997 Constitution of Fiji.
