Evart Township, Michigan

[3] The city of Evart is located on the northern edge of the township, but is administratively autonomous.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,513 people, 573 households, and 426 families residing in the township.

There were 930 housing units at an average density of 28.3 per square mile (10.9/km2).

There were 573 households, out of which 30.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.8% were married couples living together, 6.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.5% were non-families.

19.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
