Stars featured included Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Katharine Hepburn, Raymond Massey, Boris Karloff.

Oboler had a passion for authenticity, as illustrated by his hiring a full symphony orchestra to play music written by Tchaikovsky for the play, "None but the Lonely Heart.
