[1] On 29 August 2019, Nazmul Ahasan and Justice K. M. Kamrul Kader issued a ruling that mandated portraits of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman be placed in all courtrooms of Bangladesh.

[5] Nazmul Ahasan and Justice K. M. Kamrul Kader issued a ruling on 10 March 2020 that declared the national slogan of Bangladesh to be Joy Bangla.

[6] On 8 December 2020, Nazmul Ahasan and Justice Shahed Nuruddin issued an order asking the government to provide protection to monuments of President Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

[7] Nazmul Ahasan was made a Judge of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court on 9 January 2022.

[2][9] Nazmul Ahasan died from complications of COVID-19 at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital on 4 February 2022, at the age of 66.
