Applicants may also enter by passing an approved examination in travel medicine considered in relation to meeting the academic requirements.
The various grades of people associated with the Sub-Faculty of Expedition Medicine qualify their postnominal letters with "(Exped Med)", as in "FFTM (Exped Med) ACTM" Notable Honorary Fellows of the organization include Emeritus Professor Robert Steffen.
