Faiq Zaidan (March 9, 1967) is an Iraqi judge, professor and the President of the Federal Court of Cassation.
He was appointed as the President of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council, starting in January 2017.
[1] Since his appointment, he has established strong diplomatic relations with the Justice Ministries of the United Kingdom,[2] the UAE,[3] the leadership of Iran and others.
[4][5] Faiq Zaidan Khalaf Sheikh Farhan Al-Aboudi, born on March 9, 1967, in Baghdad, originally from Al-Shatrah District in Dhi Qar Governorate in southern Iraq.
[6] Faiq Zaidan graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Baghdad in 1991, then worked as a Lawyer for six years.
