Fairview Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania

It surrounds the boroughs of Fairview, Petrolia, and Karns City but is separate from them.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 24.2 square miles (62.7 km2), of which 0.008 square miles (0.02 km2), or 0.03%, is water.

[3] As of the 2000 census,[5] there were 2,061 people, 744 households, and 578 families living in the township.

There were 775 housing units at an average density of 32.2 per square mile (12.4/km2).

18.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
