The college specialized in offering degrees in religious studies and minister training, along with a limited number of graduate degrees, including history.
Founded by Dr. James Bishop in Morgantown, Kentucky, Faith Baptist College and Seminary initially provided undergraduate studies through correspondence.
Following Dr. Bishop's passing in 1988, the school relocated to Anderson, South Carolina, under the leadership of Dr. Michael A. Smith.
Additionally, satellite campuses were established in Dayton Ohio; Detroit; and Asheboro, North Carolina, for several years.
School records are now housed at Whitefield Theological Seminary in Florida.
