Faraquet /ˈfærəkɛt/ is an American post-hardcore band from Washington D.C., United States, sometimes placed in the math rock genre.

The band has recently reissued all of the material released prior to their full-length and briefly reformed to play shows in support of this project in Brazil and their native Washington, D.C.[3] Longtime friends Devin Ocampo (guitar) and Chad Molter (drums/percussion) moved from New York City to Washington, D.C. to further pursue their musical aspirations.

Faraquet were influenced by Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr., as well as older rock bands such as King Crimson, Yes, and the Who.

[5][4] Following Faraquet's dissolution, Molter and Ocampo went on to form Medications, which released an EP and two albums on Dischord Records before going on hiatus in 2011.
