He was a member of the Strong Republic bloc in the Lebanese Parliament as a representative of Koura district since the 2005 legislative elections.
[1][2] He was one of the two Lebanese Forces representatives in Qornet Shehwan Gathering, along with Eddy Abillammaa.
He attended Tripoli Evangelical High School and graduated from the American University of Beirut in 1956 with a bachelor's degree in literature.
From 1956 to 1963, Habib worked as an assistant for the public relations manager of The Trans-Arabian Pipeline Company (TAPLINE).
