Faruk Myrtaj (born 4 March 1955 in Selenicë, Vlora, Albania) is an Albanian novelist, poet, translator and engineer.
[1][2] Myrtaj was born in a small mining town in Vlora.
He was deprived the right for higher education (University) because of the communist regime, then in power.
[2] Since his first book, published in 1985, he has constantly written poetry, short stories, novels, essays and translated different Canadian authors.
