Fernando Alonso Fernández (born March 11, 1956)[1] is a retired test pilot and engineer.
He was the Head of the Military Aircraft division of Airbus Defence and Space[2] before he retired in 2019.
During his career, he has accumulated more than 3000 hours of test flights on new aircraft, such as the A318, A320, A330, A340, A340-600 and A350 XWB.
He attended United World College of the Atlantic in Cardiff, Wales.
After retiring from Airbus Fernando Alonso became visiting professor at Cranfield University.
