The ODAG was to be headed by a Rear Admiral designated Flag Officer Defence Advisory Group (FODAG).
[5] The ODAG is the nodal agency for all interaction with ONGC and other oil exploration and production companies regarding the defence of offshore installations within the Maritime zones of India.
