Florence Aylward

Florence Aylward (10 March 1862 – 14 October 1950)[1] was an English composer known for ballads.

[3] Aylward's first song was published in 1888, entitled "Day Dawn".

[1] The words were based on a translation of a Victor Hugo poem by Alice K. Sawyer, with music composed by Aylward.

[6] Aylward married Harold Kinder, an architect, in 1881 in Rye, Sussex.
