Florence Aylward (10 March 1862 – 14 October 1950)[1] was an English composer known for ballads.
[3] Aylward's first song was published in 1888, entitled "Day Dawn".
[1] The words were based on a translation of a Victor Hugo poem by Alice K. Sawyer, with music composed by Aylward.
[1] Around 50 are listed in Padzírek's Universal Handbook of Musical Literature.
[6] Aylward married Harold Kinder, an architect, in 1881 in Rye, Sussex.
