Food Products Association

FPA was headquartered in Washington, D.C., with branches in Dublin, CA, and Seattle, WA.

The association emphasized governmental and regulatory affairs, scientific research, technical assistance, education, communications, and crisis management.

FPA started in 1907 as the National Canners Association.

[1] On January 1, 2007, FPA merged with the Grocery Manufacturers Association and formed the world's largest trade association representing the food, beverage, and consumer products industry, the Grocery Manufacturers Association/Food Products Association, abbreviated GMA/FPA.
