For Homestead and Honour

[3] It was one of a series of popular early Australian written plays.

The play was written in two weeks in honour of Baden Powell.

A more dull, futile, amorphous and utterly absurd dra- matic misdemeanor the present benevolently disposed critic has not encountered.

The idea appears to be to picture a German in-vasion of Australia; but if it is informed that the play was written with the object of show-ing the effects of pre-Raphaelism upon the cow industry this paper will decline to be surprised.

Anyhow, the nebulous suggestion of a plot disappears from view after the first act.
