Fountaintown, Indiana

Fountaintown is an unincorporated community in Van Buren Township, Shelby County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.

[1] Fountaintown was laid out in 1854 by Matthew Fountain, and named for him.

[5] Fountaintown had its own high school in the early half of the 20th century.

[6] The United States Census Bureau first delineated Fountaintown as a census designated place in the 2022 American Community Survey.
