Francis Foster (cricketer, born 1848)

Francis George Foster JP (6 November 1848 — 10 December 1931) was an English first-class cricketer.

He made a single appearance in first-class cricket for Hampshire against Derbyshire at Southampton in 1876.

[2] Foster was a tanner in Havant, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather.

[3] He was active in civic life, being elected to Hampshire County Council upon its foundation in April 1889.

[6] Foster emigrated to Canada in later life, where he died in December 1931 at Earl Grey, Saskatchewan.
