Francis Noel Duffy (born 21 April 1971)[1][2] is an Irish Green Party politician who served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for Dublin South-West from 2020 to 2024.
His family moved back to Ireland where they settled in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan.
[5][6] He served as a member of South Dublin County Council from 2014 to 2020 for the Rathfarnham and Firhouse areas.
In a September 2023 interview with TheJournal.ie, Duffy likened a proposed reintroduction of an eviction ban (with exemptions for landlords where the property was needed for 'a relative') to communism, stating "Well then it turns into a communist state, that’s what you are talking about.
"[7] Duffy is married to fellow Green Party TD Catherine Martin; they have three children.
