[1] He was a member of the 6th and 7th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Wang was born in the town of Wang'aizhao [zh], Dalad Banner, on October 4, 1910.
[2] On August 19, 1951, the Holy See appointed him as Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Suiyuan[3] to replace Louis Morel, who resigned.
Wang was arrested in 1955, charged with ‘contact with foreigners’ and detained for two years; he was arrested again in 1968 and detained for six months, after which he left the church for ten years.
