Mayor Stringham was notable for leading the effort to adopt the city manager form of government.
In 1928, Stringham was appointed to serve as a director on the board of the East Bay Municipal Utility District.
[1] He attended the University of California, Berkeley where his uncle, W. Irving Stringham, was a professor of mathematics.
Frank Stringham began his law studies while working for Judge Garber's firm.
[2] Stringham died at his Berkeley home on December 7, 1931, and was buried at the Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland.
