There were 574 housing units at an average density of 28.7 per square mile (11.1/km2).

52.7% were of Finnish, 11.7% German, 6.3% Italian, 5.6% English and 5.0% French ancestry according to Census 2000.

There were 500 households, out of which 31.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.2% were married couples living together, 6.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.0% were non-families.

26.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
