Frasera coloradensis

[1] Frasera coloradensis is a small plant, usually growing to between 10 and 25 centimeters tall when flowering.

[5] The leaves are thick, with linear-oblanceolate shape, like a reversed spearhead with the thicker portion past the midpoint, but very narrow like a blade of grass.

[6] When a plant is ready to bloom it grows many branched stems with leaves attached to opposite sides.

[4] The inflorescences are branched panicles with many greenish-white flowers with purple dots, each with four petals 8-10 mm long.

[8] This plant occurs in Baca, Bent, Las Animas, and Prowers Counties in southeastern Colorado.

[4] Threats to this species include overgrazing, herbicides, and habitat loss and degradation.
