Fred Forbes

He made 271 appearances in the Football League for Everton, Plymouth Argyle, Bristol Rovers and Northampton Town.

[3] He began his career with his local club, Leith Athletic, where his performances earned him a transfer to Heart of Midlothian in 1920.

In his first full season with the club, he scored 23 league goals in 14 appearances as they finished third in the First Division.

[5] In 1925, he was transferred to Plymouth Argyle, alongside teammate Jack Cock,[6] where he played regularly for the next four years.
