Frederic Magoun Miller (February 18, 1896 – June 8, 1958)[1] was a justice of the Iowa Supreme Court from January 1, 1939, to September 30, 1946, appointed from Polk County, Iowa.
Born in Iowa, Miller "lived in Des Moines all his life".
After graduating from North High School, he attended Grinnell College from 1914 to 1917, when he joined the United States Army to serve in World War I.
He was chief justice in 1941 and 1945, resigning from the court to return to private practice in 1946.
[1] Miller died at Iowa Methodist hospital, after a period of ill health, at the age of 64.
