Gangasandra Siddappa Basavaraj (born 1941) is an Indian politician from Karnataka.
He is a five time MLA from Tumkur Lok Sabha constituency.
One son, G. B. Jyothi Ganesh is an MLA from Tumkur City.
[2] Basavaraj started his political career with Indian National Congress and is now a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
[1] He defeated former prime minister H. D. Deve Gowda in the 2019 Indian general elections in Karnataka by a margin of nearly 15,000 votes in Tumkur Lok Sabha constituency.
