Gary M. Restaino

Gary Michael Restaino (born 1968)[1] is an American lawyer who has served as the United States attorney for the District of Arizona since 2021 and as the acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives from April 25 to July 13, 2022.

[2] Restaino earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Haverford College in 1990 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1996.

From 1999 to 2003, he served as a civil rights lawyer in the Arizona Attorney General's Office.

He then served as a trial attorney in the Public Integrity Section of the United States Department of Justice.
