Gary Marx (born Mark Frederick Pearman) is a British guitarist and musician.
He was a founding member of British rock band the Sisters of Mercy and its lead guitarist and songwriter from 1980 to 1985.
He left the band in 1985 to form Ghost Dance, which included ex-Skeletal Family vocalist Anne-Marie Hurst.
He subsequently released material as an independent artist through his own website and set up an archive for his previous band, Ghost Dance.
In 2007, he released the Nineteen Ninety Five and Nowhere album, with material originally written by him in 1995 for the Sisters of Mercy, at the invitation of Andrew Eldritch.
