Gavin Roynon

Gavin Devonald Roynon (26 April 1936 – 2 March 2018) was an English first-class cricketer, teacher and military historian.

[1] He was educated at Charterhouse School, before going up to Worcester College, Oxford where he studied modern languages.

[4] In addition to playing first-class cricket while at Oxford, Ronyon also played minor counties cricket for Oxfordshire between 1954–58, making five appearances in the Minor Counties Championship.

[5] While at Oxford he was an accomplished rackets player, gaining a blue in the sport.

[1] After graduating from Oxford, he became a history teacher at Eton College, a position he held until his retirement in 1999.
