Gayle E. Pitman is an American professor and children's book author.
[1][2] Pitman also taught psychology and women/gender studies at Sacramento City College.
Pitman grew up in New Jersey and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1990s.
[3] Pitman received her Doctor of Philosophy degree from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alameda.
In 1998: her dissertation looked at the relationship between body dissatisfaction and internalized homophobia in lesbians.
