Harmon "Gene" Jeffress (born October 18, 1948) is an American politician.
Jeffress earned his bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Arkansas, Monticello, in 1971.
He was ineligible to run for re-election to the State Senate in 2012 due to term limits.
Jeffress defeated Hurst in the runoff and faced Republican Tom Cotton in the general election on November 6, 2012,[2][3] losing the race to Cotton.
