Generoso Rossi (born 3 January 1979) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper.
He was banned from football due to betting scandal,[1] he then signed an 18-month contract with Queens Park Rangers in January 2005.
Rossi became the third choice goalkeeper at Catania, behind Ciro Polito and Albano Bizarri, and was ahead of Raffaele Ioime.
[4][5] Rossi spent the next two and a half seasons at Sorrento and became an integral member of the team that twice nearly gained promotion to Serie B.
[7] Rossi was capped for Italy at youth level in 2000 in the Toulon Tournament and called up to the under 21 squad for the 2002 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship.
