George Fernie (18 October 1860 – 27 August 1915) was a Scottish professional golfer who played in the late 19th century.
[1] Fernie was born in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland on 18 October 1860.
Jack Simpson won the Championship by four strokes, ahead of runners-up Willie Fernie and Douglas Rolland.
Simpson, one of the early starters, had the best score in both rounds and was the surprise winner.
