George N. Jesse

George N. Jesse (August 9, 1865 – April 2, 1938) was an American lawyer and politician.

He was a member of the Lockwood Housing Commission and chairman of the City Affairs Committee.

In 1923, he was involved in a political fight in the Legislature over transit affairs, introducing a Republican compromise bill in opposition to the Tammany-supported legislation.

He also wrote a bill to speed the prosecution of publishers of obscene literature.He was the 76th and deciding vote for repealing the Mullan-Gage Prohibition enforcement act in New York state.
