Major Arthur George Villiers Peel (27 February 1869 – 25 April 1956) was a British Member of Parliament and a writer on politics and economics.
On 6 October 1906, at the age of 38, Peel married Lady Agnes Lygon.
He entered New College, Oxford University, in 1886 and wrote extensively on politics and economics.
[1] Peel was elected as MP for Spalding in the by-election of 1917, serving until the constituency was abolished in 1918, and he also served as Clerk to the Treasury.
