George Truefitt

[1] He practiced architecture from age 15 (1839), when he began working with the British architect Lewis Cottingham,[2] until his retirement in 1899.

[3] Truefitt is famous for designing over 25 different buildings throughout England[3] and over 15 other countries.

[3] In his career, Truefitt designed over 250 structures.

[2] He wrote a number of books, including Designs for Country Churches.

[3] He also inspired Calvert Vaux in the latter's designs.
