Gerald H. Allen (born February 8, 1950) is a Republican lawmaker in the Alabama Senate.
Allen defeated incumbent Phil Poole, a Democrat, in the 2010 elections to the Alabama Senate.
He sponsored a 2014 amendment to the Alabama Constitution banning "foreign law".
[5] In May 2019, he voted to make abortion a crime at any stage in a pregnancy, with no exemptions for cases of rape or incest.
Both made history for being the first father and son to serve at the same time in the Alabama legislature when Wes Allen was elected to the House in 2018.
