[2] Creedon received her bachelor's degree from Emmanuel College in 1967.

She previously served as a member of the Brockton City Council (1992–1995), and was the president of that body in 1994.

Her first contested race for the seat took place in 2004 when she defeated Marissa Lima in the general election.

In February 2012, Creedon announced that she would retire from the legislature, and not run for reelection that November.
