Gerry Stahl

Gerry Stahl is an American computer scientist specializing in computer-supported collaborative learning.

He is professor emeritus of computing and informatics at Drexel University, and was the founding editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning.

Stahl studied philosophy and mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating in 1967.

After returning to graduate study at the University of Colorado Boulder, he completed a second Ph.D. in computer science there in 1993.

[2] He is the founding editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning, an official journal of the International Society of the Learning Sciences, which published its first issue in 2006.
