Gibson Township, Cameron County, Pennsylvania

[3] The Driftwood Branch and Bennett Branch of Sinnemahoning Creek flow through the township, joining at Driftwood to form Sinnemahoning Creek, which continues east across the township on its way towards the West Branch Susquehanna River.

As of the census[5] of 2000, there were 222 people, 89 households, and 60 families residing in the township.

The racial makeup of the township was 96.40% White, 1.35% Native American, 0.45% Asian, and 1.80% from two or more races.

29.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 5.0% of families and 4.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under the age of eighteen or sixty five or over.
