[3] The Driftwood Branch Sinnemahoning Creek, part of the West Branch Susquehanna River watershed, flows from north to south through the southwestern part of the township.

As of the census[5] of 2000, there were 241 people, 96 households, and 71 families residing in the township.

The racial makeup of the township was 97.93% White, 0.41% Native American, and 1.66% from two or more races.

22.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 3.3% of families and 7.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 11.1% of those under the age of 18 and none of those 65 or over.
