Gilbert de Clare, 3rd Earl of Pembroke

Gilbert de Clare (born 1173 – died c.1185/1189), 3rd Earl of Pembroke was an Anglo-Norman and Irish nobleman who died as a minor.

[1] He was the son of Richard de Clare, 2nd Earl of Pembroke, and Aoife MacMurrough.

[2] In 1176, Gilbert inherited the Earl of Pembroke from his father, making him the 3rd Earl of Pembroke.

[3] He died in 1185/1189 and passed the title to his sister, Isabel de Clare, making her suo jure 4th Countess of Pembroke.
