As of the 2020 census[1] there were 1,168 people, 385 households, and 303 families residing in the township.

The racial makeup of the township was 93.58% White, 1.11% African American, 0.26% Native American, 0.34% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.60% from other races, and 4.11% from two or more races.

There were 385 households, out of which 40.30% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.65% were married couples living together, 2.34% had a female householder with no spouse present, and 21.30% were non-families.

21.30% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.90% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
