Glattfelden is a municipality in the district of Bülach in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland, and belongs to the Glatt Valley (German: Glattal).
Of the rest of the land, 17.5% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (3.1%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).
[4] The municipality includes the village of Glattfelden, located at the end of the Glatt valley, the communities of Zweidlen, Schachen and Rheinsfelden and the exclave of Neuhaus.
Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (86.5%), with Italian being second most common ( 3.7%) and Albanian being third ( 2.7%).
