Lufingen is a municipality in the district of Bülach in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland.
Of the rest of the land, 11.4% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.2%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).
Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (88.9%), with Albanian being second most common ( 2.1%) and Italian being third ( 1.8%).
In the 2007 election the most popular party was the SVP which received 48.5% of the vote.
In Lufingen about 83.8% of the population (between age 25–64) have completed either non-mandatory upper secondary education or additional higher education (either university or a Fachhochschule).
