Titensor attended Bolsa Grande High School and was a three-year starter at tackle on both offense and defense for the football, receiving All-County honors as a junior.
[1] He received a football scholarship from UCLA, where he played at nose guard and defensive tackle backing up All-American Manu Tuiasosopo for two years.
He finished his college career with 88 tackles (12 for loss), 17 sacks, 57 quarterback hurries and 3 forced fumbles.
He played briefly at left guard in the playoffs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in place of Herbert Scott who suffered a minor injury.
[2] In 1983, he played center during the second half of the game against the Minnesota Vikings and started against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in place of an injured Tom Rafferty.
