The magazine covers a range of topics including politics, business, philanthropy, food, fashion, health, beauty and lifestyle in the city of Fort Lauderdale.
[3] Founded in 1965 by Yolanda Maurer, Gold Coast was purchased by its current publisher, Bernard McCormick, in 1970.
As early as 1973, the magazine began to gain readership as far north as Stuart and Vero Beach, where people from South Florida had started to migrate.
The company also expanded to include a team in India to assist with the websites and the digital editions for the magazines.
