Gordon Backlund (born November 11, 1940) is an American politician and former engineer who served as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1985 to 1986.
Backlund received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota and his Master of Public Administration from the University of Iowa.
Backlund worked for Collins Radio Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
[2] His son, Mark, died in January 2008, at age 29, after a traffic accident.
