Gordon Beveridge

Sir Gordon Smith Grieve Beveridge (28 November 1933 – 28 August 1999) was a Scottish chemist.

He served as president and vice-chancellor of Queen's University of Belfast, Northern Ireland, from 1986 to 1997.

[1] Sir Gordon was born in St Andrews, Fife and brought up in Inverness.

He attended Inverness Royal Academy, followed by the University of Glasgow, where he studied engineering.

He also served as a member of the council of the Open University, as director and chairman of Navan at Armagh Management Ltd, which runs the Navan Fort complex; Textflow Services Ltd, QUBIS Ltd (1991–97) and Lennoxvale Developments Ltd. Gordon was the son of Victor Beattie Beveridge and Elizabeth (Fairbairn) Grieve.
